01 Who we are

Dreamspace Home Renovations & Design ("Dreamspace", "we", "us") is a home renovation contractor based at 332 Jefferson Road, Rochester, New York, serving Rochester and Monroe County. This policy explains what happens to information you give us through this website.

02 What we collect

Information you give us

When you fill in a contact or quote form, we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you tell us about your project. You choose what to put in that message, so please don't include anything sensitive you wouldn't want in an email.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our host records standard technical information when a page is requested, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you viewed. This is used to keep the site running and secure.

03 How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
• To discuss, schedule and carry out work you ask us to do.
• To keep records of the projects we've quoted and completed.
• To keep the website working and to prevent spam and abuse.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to send marketing you didn't ask for.

04 Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that make the site and our business run — our website host and form handler, our email provider, our advertising provider, and, where relevant to your project, subcontractors and suppliers who need it to carry out the work. These providers may only use it to provide their service to us.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

05 Cookies, advertising and spam protection

We advertise on Google. So that we can tell which adverts lead to real enquiries, this website uses Google’s advertising tag, which sets cookies in your browser and tells Google when someone sends us a message or taps our phone number on this site. It records that an enquiry happened — not what you wrote in it. We do not use it to build advertising profiles of you, and we do not sell this information.

If spam protection is enabled on our contact form, the provider of that service may set a cookie in order to tell real visitors apart from automated submissions. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies, and Google’s own ad settings let you limit how your information is used for advertising, though parts of the site may then stop working correctly.

06 How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to answer you and to keep a reasonable record of quotes and completed work, and for as long as any legal, tax or warranty obligation requires. When it's no longer needed, we delete it.

07 Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details below and we'll respond as soon as we reasonably can. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local privacy law.

08 Children

This website is intended for adults arranging work on their property. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll remove it.

09 Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection and we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

10 Links to other sites

Our site links to places like our Facebook page and Google listing. Once you follow one of those links, that company's privacy policy applies, not ours.

11 Changes

If we change this policy we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
